01 Getting Started & Onboarding

You can start immediately. After a quick onboarding call to understand your bid disciplines, maximum purchase ranges, and preferred makes/models, simply send us your buy list on Monday morning. We begin sourcing and bidding that same week, with vehicles arriving as fast as logistics allow via Central Dispatch. There's no lengthy setup process or contract to sign.

During onboarding, we'll need:
  • Preferred makes, models, trims, and colors
  • Target mileage ranges and model years
  • Maximum acquisition price per unit or price ranges by model
  • Your auction credentials (so we can bid under your account)
  • Preferred sourcing channels (Manheim, ADESA, ACV, fleet liquidations)
  • Any specific equipment/option requirements
  • Reconditioning capabilities (what you can/cannot fix)
Once we have this intel, you can submit your buy list weekly or monthly, and we'll handle the rest.

No. There are no contracts and no minimums. You only pay a per-car fee for the units we successfully source. Turn us on when you need inventory, and turn us off when you don't. This flexibility is one of the biggest advantages—you're never locked in, and you only pay for results.

You can do everything remotely. Many of our dealer partners submit buy lists via email, CSV upload, or our online portal. The initial onboarding call is typically 20-30 minutes via phone or Zoom to align on strategy. After that, you can manage all sourcing requests, quotes, and purchase tracking digitally through your dealer dashboard.

You can create a dealer account on our website to:
  • Submit and track custom vehicle requests
  • Review live sourcing quotes
  • Manage your purchases and acquisition history
  • Get early access to our live Southern inventory feed
  • Upload CSV bulk buy lists
Registration is quick (5 minutes), and your account gives you complete visibility into all vehicles we've sourced on your behalf.

We work with both. Whether you're a single dealership sourcing 10-20 units per month or a multi-rooftop group acquiring 200+ units monthly, our service scales to your needs. Single locations benefit from lower overhead and access to Southern inventory; multi-rooftop groups benefit from centralized cost control and consistent acquisition strategy across all stores.
02 Pricing, Volume & Cost Structure

We use transparent, volume-based pricing. You only pay per car we successfully source:
0–100 units
$300 per acquisition
100–300 units
$250 per acquisition
300+ units
$200 per acquisition
You'll see immediate volume discounts as your acquisitions scale, and you never pay for vehicles we don't successfully source.

The true cost of an in-house buyer is much higher than salary alone. Factor in:
  • Annual salary + bonuses
  • Health insurance, benefits, payroll taxes
  • Auction travel (airline tickets, hotels, rental cars)
  • Meal and entertainment expenses
  • Time away from dealership management
  • Floorplan carrying costs on overpurchased inventory
For a buyer sourcing 100 units/month, total annual cost can exceed $80,000-$120,000. By switching to CDM Dealer Hub at $300/car for 100 units, you pay $30,000/month ($360,000/year), but you eliminate salary, benefits, and most travel costs, converting heavy fixed expenses into predictable variable costs that scale with volume.

No. There are no setup fees, contract fees, monthly minimums, or hidden charges. You only pay the per-car acquisition fee for units we successfully source. You'll also be responsible for vehicle transport (which we arrange at fleet-negotiated Central Dispatch rates), but that's a transparent cost you'd pay regardless of sourcing method.

Absolutely. If your dealership has unique volume requirements, multi-rooftop complexities, or special acquisition needs, contact Chris Corrow (770-331-6877) or John Iossi (404-423-4685) to discuss custom pricing options. Larger dealer groups often qualify for additional volume discounts beyond our standard tiers.

We invoice monthly based on the vehicles successfully acquired and delivered to your dealership. Payment terms are typically Net 30, and invoices are sent via email. You'll receive a detailed invoice listing each VIN, acquisition price, transport cost, and our per-unit sourcing fee for full transparency and reconciliation.
03 How the Sourcing Process Works

Here's our proven 7-step process:
  • You submit your buy list (Monday morning) with preferred makes, models, trims, mileage, and price ranges.
  • Our team identifies ideal vehicle candidates across Manheim, ADESA, ACV, and fleet channels, focusing on high-value opportunity buckets (top trims, Southern vehicles, documented fleet maintenance).
  • We verify every candidate through CARFAX, AutoCheck, and OEM recall databases to ensure clean title, accurate mileage, and no major issues.
  • We determine retail market value (via MMR and live retail comps) and establish your maximum bid allowance to prevent overpaying under auction pressure.
  • We bid under your auction credentials, competing strategically while respecting your approved bid ranges.
  • Once we win an auction, we arrange post-sale inspection (if available) and handle all transport logistics.
  • We assist with arbitration if a wholesale seller misrepresents a vehicle, protecting your dealership.
You get daily or weekly updates on sourcing activity, quotes, and vehicles ready to transport.

We follow a disciplined pricing methodology:
  • Compare current auction pricing against MMR (Manheim Market Report)
  • Research live retail listings to determine realistic retail value
  • Factor in your dealership's reconditioning costs
  • Analyze wholesale trends to identify whether a vehicle is over/undervalued
  • Calculate expected front-end gross profit
  • Set your maximum bid allowance conservatively
No surprises. No emotional bidding. You know our maximum bid before we place it.

We have access to the major auction platforms:
  • Manheim (primary South/Southeast focus for rust-free inventory)
  • ADESA (regional auctions with strong fleet vehicle selection)
  • ACV Auctions (alternative channel for specific models)
  • Direct fleet & rental liquidation channels (off-market opportunities)
Our Southern focus means we prioritize rust-free, better-optioned vehicles that command higher retail value, but we can source from any channel that fits your acquisition strategy.

Yes, conditionally. We strictly prioritize your specified buy list first. However, because we're constantly monitoring major Southern auctions and off-market fleet liquidations, if we spot a highly optioned, high-gross opportunity that fits your dealership's profile, we'll bring it to your attention for approval before bidding. You have the final say on every vehicle we pursue.

Buy lists can be submitted weekly or monthly—whatever works for your inventory needs. We accept:
  • Email (simple list of makes/models)
  • CSV upload (bulk list with model years, mileage, price ranges)
  • Dealer portal form (online vehicle request form)
  • Spreadsheet attachment
Regardless of format, include: preferred makes, models, trims, colors, mileage ranges, and target acquisition prices. The more detailed your list, the more precise our sourcing.

We begin sourcing the same week you submit your list. Within 3-5 business days, you'll typically see quotes for vehicles matching your specs. Within 7-10 business days, we'll have successfully bid on and won inventory ready for transport. The speed depends on auction schedules and availability, but we prioritize rapid turnaround so vehicles arrive on your lot quickly.
04 Risk Protection & Guarantee

You're fully protected. Because we log in and buy under your auction credentials, you retain all standard arbitration rights with the wholesale seller. Furthermore, we handle the post-sale inspection setup and will directly assist you with arbitration if a seller misrepresents a vehicle. You're never alone in a dispute—we're your advocate.

This is a critical point: we log in and bid exactly the way you would, using your auction credentials. You maintain total control. We're acting as your remote acquisition team, not a broker or middleman. You retain all auction rights, title ownership, arbitration privileges, and the ability to cancel or modify orders before settlement.

We verify title status and clean history through CARFAX and AutoCheck before bidding. If a title issue emerges pre-bid, we don't purchase the vehicle. If an issue appears post-purchase, you have full arbitration rights. In 15+ years of combined wholesale experience, our team knows how to spot title red flags early and avoids problematic vehicles entirely.

Yes, absolutely. Because we purchase under your dealership's auction credentials, all standard arbitration rights apply. If a vehicle has hidden structural damage, flood history, or mileage discrepancies, you can file arbitration with the auction house. We'll support your claim and work directly with the wholesale seller's representative to resolve disputes quickly.

With 50+ years of combined auction experience, we know which wholesalers have solid track records and which ones cut corners. We avoid known bad actors who misrepresent vehicles, hide issues, or engage in deceptive practices. Our relationships and reputation in the auction space work to your advantage—we won't source from sellers we don't trust.

This is a very low-risk partnership:
  • No contracts or minimums
  • You only pay per car for units we successfully source
  • You retain all arbitration and purchasing rights
  • Turn us on when you need inventory; turn us off when you don't
  • No setup fees or hidden charges
If you're not satisfied with the quality or service, you can stop using CDM Dealer Hub anytime. Zero commitment, zero financial risk.
05 Vehicle Quality & Sourcing Strategy

Southern vehicles have several advantages:
  • Better undercarriages and chassis (no salt, minimal rust damage)
  • Command higher retail value at front-end
  • Produce better reconditioning ROI (less frame/suspension work)
  • Turn faster due to higher perceived quality and lower repair risk
  • Attract higher gross profit margins
If you're a Northern dealership competing in a rust-belt market, sourcing Southern inventory gives you a significant competitive advantage in retail pricing and customer satisfaction.

According to NADA data, acquiring highly optioned, late-model inventory directly correlates with faster turns and higher front-end gross. A 2022 Toyota Camry SE with leather, sunroof, and navigation package commands more interest than a base model. We prioritize these vehicles because they're easier to retail, attract more buyer competition, and justify premium pricing. Higher options = faster sales cycles = better cash flow.

Critical. Fleet vehicles with documented maintenance history (Carfax service records) are gold. CARFAX and AutoCheck research shows that vehicles with clean damage history and documented maintenance produce significantly higher retail conversion rates. We prioritize fleet acquisitions for this reason—they've been serviced professionally, have no hidden issues, and retail faster with fewer comebacks.

We're flexible based on your dealership's strategy. Most dealers focus on 2015-2023 model years with 50,000-120,000 miles, but we can source anything from 2010 models to current-year vehicles. The key is aligning on your target demographic: luxury retail, mainstream volume, first-time buyers, fleet/commercial buyers, etc. We'll discuss your sweet spot during onboarding.

We analyze market data:
  • Hot-selling makes/models in your region
  • Days-to-sale trends from NADA and Manheim data
  • Customer demand patterns in your retail market
  • Seasonal trends (SUVs in winter, convertibles in summer)
  • Pricing elasticity—where retail margins are highest
Combined with 50+ years of hands-on auction experience, we know which vehicles move and which stagnate. Your buy list tells us your preferences; we'll also flag high-demand opportunities that fit your profile.

Yes, absolutely. Every vehicle we source is checked against:
  • OEM recall databases
  • NHTSA safety bulletins
  • Outstanding safety service campaigns
If a vehicle has outstanding recalls that would complicate retail, we'll alert you before bidding so you can decide if the reconditioning cost is worth it. Recall status is factored into our price analysis.
06 Logistics, Shipping & Transportation

We handle transport via Central Dispatch at fleet-negotiated rates, which are significantly lower than standard carrier costs. We manage the entire logistics process—pickup from the auction facility, carrier assignment, tracking, and delivery. You'll receive a transport ETA so your lot can prepare for arrival.

Transport costs vary based on distance and route, but Central Dispatch rates are typically 20-30% lower than standard carrier pricing. For example, transport from Manheim Atlanta to Charlotte (200 miles) might cost $400-$600 vs. $700-$900 with standard carriers. We negotiate fleet rates for all our dealer partners, and the cost is transparently listed on your invoice.

Yes. If you have an existing transport partner or prefer to arrange your own logistics, we can coordinate the handoff. However, we recommend using Central Dispatch because the fleet rates are extremely competitive and one less thing for you to manage means faster vehicle delivery.

Typically 5-10 business days from auction settlement to lot arrival, depending on:
  • Auction facility location (Southeast auctions arrive faster than West Coast)
  • Current transport capacity
  • Your dealership location
  • Any post-auction inspections
Vehicles sourced early in the week usually arrive within 7 days; late-week acquisitions may take up to 10 days. We'll give you realistic ETAs upfront.

Central Dispatch carries full liability coverage. If a vehicle arrives damaged, we file a claim with the carrier immediately. You'll be reimbursed or the vehicle will be repaired/replaced at no cost to your dealership. This is one reason we use Central Dispatch—they stand behind their service.

We can coordinate post-sale inspections at certain auction facilities (Manheim offers this service). However, vehicle conditioning (detailing, fluid changes, repairs) is handled by your dealership's lot team. We focus on acquisition and logistics; you handle reconditioning based on your standards and profit goals.
07 Multi-Rooftop & Enterprise Solutions

Multi-rooftop groups benefit from centralized acquisition control:
  • Single point of contact for all locations
  • Consistent bidding disciplines across all stores
  • One reporting structure and cost center
  • Ability to pool inventory across locations if needed
  • Standardized maximum bid ranges by store
  • Complete executive visibility into acquisition spending
You no longer have fragmented buying strategies, duplicated efforts, or inconsistent inventory quality. One CDM Dealer Hub acquisition partner manages sourcing for all your rooftops.

Absolutely. Each store can have unique sourcing strategies based on their market, customer base, and inventory needs. One location might focus on luxury vehicles; another on high-volume economy models. We manage separate buy lists, bid ranges, and acquisition targets for each rooftop while maintaining centralized oversight and consistent quality standards.

Executive dashboards include:
  • Acquisition volume by location and time period
  • Cost per acquisition across all stores
  • Vehicle sourcing quality metrics (turn times, gross profit trends)
  • Spending vs. budget by store
  • Consolidated invoicing for group accounting
  • Real-time visibility into pending sourcing and quotes
CFOs get cost control; GMs get inventory visibility; your acquisition team gets complete transparency.

Yes. Larger dealer groups often qualify for tiered pricing beyond our standard volume structure. A group acquiring 500 units/month across 5 locations might negotiate custom rates below our $200/unit tier. Contact John Iossi (404-423-4685) or Chris Corrow (770-331-6877) to discuss volume-based pricing for your group.

Yes, strategically. If you have a group buy list and want to allocate sourced vehicles across stores based on market fit, inventory needs, or profit optimization, we can coordinate that. For example, a high-optioned BMW might go to your luxury store; an economy sedan to your volume location. This flexibility maximizes ROI across your group.

Traditional multi-rooftop groups employ multiple buyers, each with salary, benefits, and travel budgets. CDM Dealer Hub replaces that headcount:
  • No buyer salary x number of stores = significant payroll savings
  • No per-buyer travel expenses (hotels, flights, rental cars) = reduced overhead
  • Reduced floorplan carrying costs (better inventory discipline = less aged inventory)
  • Standardized acquisition process = fewer costly buying mistakes
  • One cost center for executive budgeting
Many groups report saving $150,000+ annually in buyer-related costs after switching to CDM Dealer Hub.
08 Buying Discipline & ROI

Our philosophy is simple but powerful: “The cheapest car is not always the best buy. The most expensive car is rarely the best buy. The best buy is the vehicle that delivers the strongest return on investment.” We don't just buy cars; we buy vehicles with a clear profit plan: expected retail value, reconditioning costs, turn time, and front-end gross. Every acquisition is calculated, not emotional.

We use disciplined pre-bid analysis:
  • Establish approved bid ranges before every auction
  • Compare market pricing against MMR and live retail comps
  • Factor in reconditioning costs and dealer overhead
  • Calculate maximum allowable acquisition price for target profit
  • Avoid auction-floor emotion and pressure to overbid
  • Walk away from vehicles that don't meet ROI targets
Dealerships that work with us typically reduce aged inventory by 15-20% and improve gross margins by 5-10% compared to emotional, impulse-based buying.

We track several KPIs:
  • Acquisition price vs. appraised value (were we disciplined?)
  • Inventory turn times (are vehicles selling quickly?)
  • Front-end gross profit per unit (are we hitting profit targets?)
  • Reconditioning ROI (are vehicles priced right?)
  • Aged inventory (% of vehicles >60 days on lot)
  • Customer satisfaction and comeback rates
  • Sourcing cost per acquisition
We review these metrics monthly with you to ensure alignment and continuous improvement.

Significant. A typical scenario:
  • Dealer acquiring 100 units/month at avg. gross of $2,000/unit = $200,000/month gross
  • Improve discipline: reduce aged inventory 20%, cut floorplan carrying costs by $5,000/month
  • Improve acquisition price: hit MMR targets better, reduce loss/breakeven units by 10% = $2,000/month profit lift
  • Increase turn speed: reduce 60+ day inventory by 15 days = better cash flow
  • Monthly impact: $7,000-$10,000+ in additional profit
  • Annual impact: $84,000-$120,000+
Better buying discipline directly improves your bottom line.

Yes. According to NADA data, highly optioned, late-model inventory (our sourcing specialty) turns 15-20% faster than base-model or aged inventory. By focusing on:
  • Higher-option vehicles
  • Better condition (rust-free, fleet-maintained)
  • Right-sized pricing for your market
  • Trim/package fit to local demand
You'll see measurable improvement in days-on-lot and cash flow. Many partners report turning inventory 10-15 days faster after 90 days with CDM Dealer Hub.

Direct. Here's the math:
  • Acquire a 2020 Honda Accord at auction for $15,500 when MMR is $16,200 = healthy buying
  • Retail it at $18,900 with minimal reconditioning = $3,400 front-end gross and 30-45 day turn
  • Versus: acquire the same car at $16,800 (overpaying) and retail it at $18,900 = only $2,100 gross
Better acquisition discipline protects gross profit and allows aggressive retail pricing that drives faster turns. It's the foundation of profitable inventory management.

According to Cox Automotive (Manheim), multi-auction sourcing increases gross margin opportunity by exposing you to more “high-demand, low-supply” vehicles. Instead of being limited to local auctions where competition is intense, CDM Dealer Hub sources across Manheim, ADESA, ACV, and fleet channels, finding:
  • Less-common trims and colors with higher demand
  • Fleet vehicles with documented history (lower buyer hesitation)
  • Regional arbitrage opportunities (Southern rust-free vehicles command premiums in Northern markets)
  • Off-market fleet liquidations unavailable to retail buyers
Wider sourcing = better inventory selection = higher gross margins.
